I. Problem Phenomenon :
The piling machine starts construction with qualified verticality, but the pile body gradually deviates from the vertical as sinking progresses—transforming from "straight penetration" to "oblique insertion," which endangers pile foundation bearing capacity and building stability.
II. Cause Analysis
During construction, extrusion causes uneven deformation of foundation soil, similar to "soft plasticine" with inconsistent hardness. The piling machine tilts as it "stands unsteadily" on such soil.
Unbalanced counterweight shifts the machine's center of gravity. Like a person carrying an uneven load, the piling machine loses verticality when the counterweight is skewed.
Soil extrusion from adjacent piling exerts lateral pressure on the pile, analogous to being pushed in a crowd. The pile body cannot withstand the force, causing overall deviation.
III. Self-Inspection Methods
Equip the piling machine with electronic spirit levels or laser plumb instruments to regularly track verticality changes—like a "smart glasses" for real-time deviation detection.
2 Check Counterweight & Foundation
Inspect whether counterweights are evenly distributed and foundation soil shows obvious extrusion deformation. Alert when noticing unbalanced weights or uneven soil!
Before piling, "tame" the soil through compaction or replacement to improve bearing capacity and uniformity—providing a "solid, level stage" for the piling machine.
Adjust counterweights to restore the machine's center of gravity, similar to balancing a backpack for stable operation.
Adopt "interval jump driving" for adjacent piles to avoid crowding, allowing soil to "breathe" and reducing extrusion forces.
For detected deviations, adjust the machine's position or implement correction measures promptly. Minor deviations can be fine-tuned, while severe ones require immediate "straightening" to prevent escalated issues.
Gradual verticality deviation may seem trivial, but it affects the entire foundation project.
