In the pile driving machinery industry, "anticipating needs in advance and proactively breaking limitations" is the key to an enterprise’s sustained leadership. Over a decade ago, when top-press static pile drivers were still the market mainstream, Tianwei’s R&D team keenly identified pain points of the equipment in practical application from a wealth of on-site construction feedback. T-WORKS resolutely launched the technological innovation from top-press to encircling-press, and with the perseverance of "polishing a sword for ten years", created a pile pressing solution more suitable for industry needs.
Today, T-WORKS’ encircling-press static pile drivers have been widely used in construction, municipal and transportation projects in many provinces and cities across China, and exported to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other regions, becoming synonymous with "high efficiency, safety and flexibility" in the eyes of customers. From the proactive innovation over a decade ago to the continuous optimization today, T-WORKS has always focused on "solving customers’ actual pain points", and continues to move forward on the road of technological upgrading in pile driving machinery, injecting more impetus into the high-quality development of the industry. In recent years, T-WORKS' self-developed new model - the remote - controlled static pile driver has continuously entered the market to meet the needs of intelligent construction.

Looking back at the industry context at that time, top-press static pile drivers gradually revealed shortcomings in adapting to construction scenarios due to structural principle constraints. From a technical perspective, the top-press design relies on a relatively high top pressure-applying structure, resulting in the overall height of the equipment generally exceeding 6 meters — this height became a "problem" in transportation: it not only required renting special overwidth and overheight transport vehicles (with logistics costs 20%-30% higher than conventional equipment), but also frequently encountered obstacles when passing through height-restricted areas such as rural roads, tunnels and viaducts. There were even repeated cases where project schedules were delayed due to the equipment’s height issue. In addition, the top-press structure had a narrow adaptation range for pile types and lengths. When dealing with thin piles with a diameter of less than 300mm or long piles over 15 meters in length, it was prone to problems such as unstable clamping and uneven pressure application, making it difficult to meet the diverse construction needs of municipal engineering, small building foundations and other projects.

"Equipment limitations should not hold back customers’ construction efficiency." Based on this concept, Tianwei set up a special R&D team and spent more than two years conducting technical research. By simulating pile pressing force models under different geological conditions and repeatedly optimizing the clamping structure design, the team finally broke through the technical bottleneck of the encircling-press type: changing the traditional top pressure application to encircling pressure application at the middle part of the pile. This not only reduced the overall height of the equipment to less than 4.5 meters (meeting the standard for conventional truck transportation), but also realized full coverage adaptation to piles with a diameter of 200mm-800mm and a length of 6-25 meters through the design of adjustable clamping spacing — the adaptation range was increased by more than 3 times compared with the top-press type.

The ultimate value of technological innovation is always reflected in the upgrading of customer experience. For construction teams, the advantages of the encircling-press pile driver are particularly obvious in on-site installation and operation: the traditional top-press equipment required 3-4 workers to cooperate in hoisting the top pressure-applying components, with installation taking more than 2 hours; while the encircling-press equipment eliminated the complex top structure, and only 2 workers were needed to complete the debugging of the clamping mechanism through the hydraulic control system, shortening the installation time to less than 40 minutes and significantly reducing labor and time costs. In terms of safety, the encircling-press structure avoids the risk of pile inclination caused by single-point pressure application of the top-press equipment through multi-point encircling force. A municipal project construction team commented: "After using Tianwei’s encircling-press static pile driver, the verticality error of the pile is controlled within 0.5%, and the construction accident rate has decreased by nearly 90% compared with before."
